It's only one day people! Hype train's arriving to the station, and comes full of brand new Exosuits! So, tell me, what use will YOU give them? Here's what I'm gonna do:
1. Feel like a badass.
2. Kick the Leviathan's ass (if it has one).
3. Get rich by mining.
4. Tame a reefback.
5. Walk with the Sea Treaders.
6. Send Crabsquids back to the hell they came from.
7. Get to the top of the Aurora.
8. Feel like Tarzan! (with the grappling hook)
9. Be able to mid-finger any son-of-a-fish that tries to kill me and fails.
10. Falcon Punch!
What you gonna do? Post it down here!

1. Perform the Sho Ryu Ken on the Reaper Leviathan
2. Hit the Reaper Leviathan with a Hadoken
3. Smash the teeth of the Reaper Leviathan in with the Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku
4. Then I finish off the Reaper Leviathan with the Hao Sho Ko Ken!
Of course if I can't do any of those I'll just punch it to death. Or give it shock treatment...
2) Cheer up thinking that pressure mechanics will improve it and slow down exploration appropriately
- Build A better base using the Exosuit grappling hook arm
- Look for more resources deeper in the game world
- Have it surf on top of my Cyclops (Looks kinda funny when the Cyclops is stationary)
- Have fisticuffs with the Crabsquid and any other big nasty predator wanting to take a bite out of me
- All of the previously mentioned posts preceding this one
I am going to feel like spiderman and most of the time i will be using it instead of the seamoth
2) I cannot wait to go and try mining. (Will the exo inventory be big enough???)
3) After establishing deep base, I will finally try to explore ILZ thoroughly. I've been saving that place for long.
4) Of course - I will fight those Reapers and Crabsquids, they days are over!
There must be more, I have been refusing to play experimental mostly, cannot wait!
2) What's that gas torpedo useful for? I fired dozens into a shocker and yet he's alive? They should be more powerful than simple gasopod balls, because these take up 1 inventory space instead 4 when you shoot them with the propulsion arm. Where is my power torpedo? ... Nevermind, while the torpedos still suck, the propulsion arm is great for teaching those biters a lesson.
3) The drillarm is great, but I wish I could drill stalker tooth out of stalkers with it, instead running around them and waiting for them to drop those teeth.
So finally 3 out of 4 arms are godlike, while the torpedo arm still suffers from the game using useless torpedos. I have never found a good use for them and the torpedos of the game totally suck so far. Hope that it gets better - the potential for torpedo use is good. My personal suggestion:
Make the torpedos home into the targets (>>> homing torpedos <<<) as a distinction from other direct fire weapons! It would be fun to watch them go after their target. And they are the least to be overpowered, because they are more underpowered than everything else in the game.
The torpedoes aren't meant to be lethal.
The drill arm was designed to be used on the big mineral deposits. If you can find other uses, then great, but I doubt the devs will add anything like that.
Again. Torpedoes are not meant to be lethal. Nothing is.
In all seriousness I'm going to be doing a LOT of exploring.
Don't try to explain that the torpedos are non lethal. I know that. But the torpedos are also non USEFUL. If they don't help with the big beasts, they are useless, because the lesser beasts can be dealt with far more simplier methods without torpedos. I don't need a torpedo to deal with sharks or peepers. And even reapers can be dealt without torpedos.
I hope not, but I am suspicious.
There's so much I would rather the devs work on than an Exosuit.
No man, this Prawn suit rocks once you have the jump jet and arms. It's the azz kickr model from Alterra.
2. Have Reaper pick up my suit, bite it's head off, and toss the remains off the edge of the map.
3. Go back to using Cyclops.
Really? And this is the suit intended to fight the Sea dragons? Muhaha ...
For a second I believed this suit would rock.
I don't think homing torpedoes aren't that lethal.
Also, do the same as DagothUr, but with some random Thomas the tank engine rap remix in the background.
I can see that.
Unless you try to use torpedos, your Prawn suit will rock. Be assured.
Nevertheless, the Reapers weakness against shock and his almost zero reaction to getting drilled into his face gives the Seamoth a Reaper advantage. But don't try to battle an Ampeel with the Seamoth or it will ruin your day.
I'm waiting for the Crabsquid EMP now to find a worthy enemy ...
Our handy-dandy personal Mecha takes damage when it lands on acid shrooms.
'Invincible' isn't a word I'd care to use in relation to ExoSuits. Sorry.
I dunno, I once glitched my game (via the Moonpool) to allow me "on land" mobility while underwater, with inifinite oxygen. I hadn't saved in a while and I didn't want to risk losing progress via reload, so I started walking around the sea floor while slowly dying of hunger. I was surprised how far and deep I could travel just by walking and jumping, I even managed to get into the Jellyshroom caves this way. I suspect the landscape was designed with the Exosuit in mind. So while it may not be as versatile as the Seamoth for travel, I doubt it will sit rusting in a corner.
