My escape pod moved..

I went to explore the Aurora for a bit. Came back & found there is nothing under my escape pod. Thought the terrain wasn't loading but as I went further down, I found the surface, about 300m.
Now I can't find my Habitat. This ever happened to anyone?

    Yes, my escape pod is so far out that it takes a few minutes of traveling in a straight line to even be able to see it.

    As to why, I'm not sure. I thought I heard earlier it could be from pausing your game for long periods of time, which I did, but I don't know. It has definitely happened though, just gotta make sure you get a base up and running asap!

    I did reloaded some bad moments due to that damn bigass shark destroying my seamoth near the Aurora. So reloaded, went back, stayed there. Paused to go do other things, night would come and I would chill till the sun comes up etc.

    Encountered it twice before. Had 4 tentacles sticking out, 2 on each side. kinda like huge whiskers.
    Red back. Ripped my moth apart while exploring at night. Surprised me

    pod came back to it's original position, hell yeah

    Haven't seen any shark that's half the size of the Aurora tho, which is what I imagined the reaper is? heh

    ah ok, got a good scare a few times by that thing.
    Dropped down from the cyclops with my seamoth once. All of a sudden that thing grabbed me in the dark. Used the electro pulse thing to escape.

    I tried killing it once with the stasis gun while using a knife. But end up drowning.

    There anyway to kill that thing?
    The aurora is infested with bunch of them swimming around. Need to get rid of them!

    The electro pulse usually drives it away...unlike the sharks which just circle around it actually seems to go away

    Oh, There is no getting rid of them, it is THEM that get rid of YOU. A electro pulse from the seamoth drives them back for a short period of time but they always come back.

    Nothing you do will ever get rid of them. haha

    You definitely encountered a reaper. Believe it or not, future updates are bringing in creatures that are far bigger in size! Also, just wait until you find the skeleton in the lost river.

    Luckily 1) only one of the new and much larger creatures will be aggressive, The other one (The largest of the two) will be a little bit my peaceful and 2) The skeleton isn't really all that if you think about it, It's jsut a giant skeleton of some lost colossus that somehow died, big deal.

    The phantom though, Now that looks cool, Hopefully it will be added at same point in the future.

    What about the balancing rocks or mass organics. There anything to do? or just for simple exploration stuff?

    I see what you're saying, But that is pretty much impossible as the skeleton will remain a skeleton forever, At no point now or in the future will you ever see this creature alive, It's just not gonna happen.
