Life pod too far from Aurora to draw properly?

Hello, I'm on my first playthrough, things seemed to be going fine, but I was noticing my pod was really far away from everything useful and had to travel pretty far to get to shallows/kelp forest. This time when I went back, the Aurora was not visible when I came back out. Not sure if the pod drifted out of range for the program to draw it in my visual field? But without it, I have no idea which direction to head to get back to...well, anything. Where I am, it's way too deep for me to reach the bottom and do anything useful with just an O2 tank. Any advice?

I think your game is suffering from the bug that sometimes makes the Lifepod drift far far away. Its supposed to stay in place after you fix it but sometimes due to a bug it'll drift so far away that ultimately it'll be too far for you to even reach it. Im not sure if theres a way to make it go back to its starting place tho.

My best advice is to start another game and place pipes all around it to be sure it wont drift away like that again

just ram it a little with the seamoth, that made it float back for me.

I broke down and started another game, had no problems this time.
