Did the Blueprint Fragments from the Grassland Wrecks Vanish?

My friend who told me about this game decided to restart a new game following the most recent update. He then told me he couldn't find Seamoth blueprints anywhere at all. I thought this was strange as when I was wandering around the grasslands prior to the update, I found them *everywhere*. It was practically raining Seamoth fragments and I got quite a bit of titanium from them.

This evening, I was wandering around looking for scrap metal to build my Cyclops and I came upon two of the grassland wrecks I hadn't seen before, so I looked around. Not a single fragment of anything at all! Not inside the wreckage, nor in the little boxes outside. Onee wreckage even had two sealed doors I had to cut through ... and behind those sealed doors was nothing. Nothing at all. Which is pretty much impossible by how this game has been designed.

Is just coincidence that maybe both he and I have corrupted saves somehow despite us starting it at different times? Can someone else here verify, please? I even think I came upon a small Kelp wreck and couldn't see anything there either.

I'd suggest looking inside the Aurora since there's at least three parts in the storage area. The others should still be scattered around in the Grassy Plateaus as broken pieces of the sub, but I haven't logged into the game for a few days but that should still be the case.

Oh I have it myself. But not having Seamoth frags around wrecks like this is muy muy bad for new players. Or for that matter, any frags at all.

I still found them in the GP around the wrecks, but only just enough to get a Seamoth (Aurora has three pieces? I only ever find one in the storage area). I thought that was odd. Unless they are planted rather than spawned, I can imagine someone might not find (enough) fragments.

I'm still finding them in the grassy plateaus as well. Awhile ago I had an issue with wrecks not containing anything other than chairs and desks and had a dev comment that it was a bug (I had checked out 10 different wrecks at that point, none of which had anything). Perhaps you've run into the same bug?

The wreck near Pod 7 is stuffed with Seamoth Fragments. Though technology fragments do not spawn when you already have that blueprint unlocked.

Some wrecks never have much relevant stuff in them. Look for the big ones. It's possible the devs re-balanced the frequency with which you find seamoth fragments, although I still found mine pretty easily in the new patch.

Yeah, but no fragments at all? Not even behind two sealed doors? I was personally expecting to at least be able to farm some titanium from frags for blueprints I already had. But someone above mentioned that maybe they don't spawn if you already have them. If so, then it's important to farm every single fragment you see right away before you can no longer do it.

Yeah, that's a recent thing. Places you haven't been too won't activate the fragment spawn points of things you've already acquired by the time you get there. Ergo, if it's titanium you want, it's worthwhile not to scan anything until you've been everywhere so you activate a maximum number of fragment spawn points.

Certainly something I think the devs need to look into rebalancing. It's ridiculous to have early wrecks all full and later wrecks all empty.

When I first saw the original post yesterday, I figured it was just a case of what fathom described, but didn't have time to post it. Today however, I had a "disappearing" Seamoth fragment. I was at a wreck in grassy plateaus, scanned 2 Seamoth fragments outside of it. I saw a third, but didn't have oxygen to reach it. I went up for air, then went back down to get it. The fragment was completely gone. There was only a small area it could have been, and I had gone straight up, then straight down.

On a related note, I have previously seen Cyclops fragments change which "piece" they are of the broken item when leaving an area and returning. For instance, an engine fragment might change from a cylinder to a propeller. I wonder if this piece re-assignment sometimes clips an item through the floor, making it drop.

Where is this "storage area" of the Aurora? I've only been able to go in the big open end of the surprise and not "in it" per say. So I found a few containers with first aid kits on the big open platform under sky (part of the wreck) but no blueprints.

Gotta find a way in. There's a way to get onto the wreck by foot, follow it around and there is a piece of scrap that acts as a ramp, follow it and its a straight shot into the heart of the Aurora from there.

I'm horrible at giving directions, but hope that was sorta helpful...

There's a lot in there, yesterday I managed to get in for the first time since the update to the prawn bay and man is there a lot of stuff in there.

When the Prawn update hit I did the editing trick to reset my save rather than starting completely over, so the wrecks reset to unexplored but I still had all the blueprints. And every single wreck was absolutely empty of fragments, except for the few that had Prawn parts. It was both a bit of a letdown and also kinda funny at the same time.

Sometimes fragments down spawn, seems to be part of the random generation. I've experienced it myself. Checked the entire sparse reef over head to toe and found not a single power cell charging station fragment.

Went to the wreck in the mushroom forest and found a single propulsion gun fragment. It was all I needed, but there was nothing else there and no other propulsion gun fragments. I shutter to think how close I came to not being able to get a propulsion gun fragment in this save file.

They need to adjust the spawn rates.
