More complex / realistic behavior patterns

Not sure if this is in the works or not, but it would really be cool if various species had specific behavior patterns for general life style/ mating/ territory and so on that could be observed and recorded. Another factor that would give creatures greater "depth" (ocean joke) is species that are sexually dimorphic, a trait common in the animal world on earth (besides differing male/female behavior this one is pretty self explanatory). As an example for complex behavior patterns, I imagine the sea emperor species as being territorial (during nesting season) and aggressive toward known predators. As the player is alien in origin (from the view point of the planet), the sea emperor does not know what the player is (a threat or not) and responds with curiosity (staring at the player/ messing around with the sea moth or cyclops / following you for a distance). Residing in the sea emperor's territory can be an advantage as it will chase off predatory species, however, building too many things there or getting too near it's eggs will anger it. The sea emperor's top priority is to protect it's eggs from medium sized (stalker-ish) scavengers and predators that would eat them (this type of thing has parallels in the real world). Now the sea emperor has some important roles to play in the story so I'm not suggesting what the sea emperor should be like (although it would be cool), but rather providing an example of the kind of behavior patterns that I would like to see in the game. Perhaps in the future we could observe peepers nipping at coral or male stalkers getting into fights over small insults?
