Is my computer good for Subnautica? I'm buying it next week26pivpruavhq.png

I already asked this. But I only got one reply by Leoxide: Seems like the same as my old setup. That CPU of yours has 4 cores which I believe is over the minimum for SN, so that's good.
Clock speed is fast enough too however i'm not really sure about the integrated graphics that come with it..

Should be fine from my point of view.

Is it good

I'm no expert but you should at least be able to play on minimal settings. I'm playing on medium settings with a bare bones Alienware Alpha i3, only upgrade I have is extra ram.

They recommend that you have a GPU that complies with DX11.. The CPU you have is fine, though the RAM might just squeeze in. I'm running the game on a Intel i5, 16GB RAM and GeForce GTS 250 (I have to run it with -force-d3d9 under Launch Option in Steam)

So far the game runs quite well. Try that if you run into any problems. If you still have issues running the game, you might want to invest in a budget GPU.

Good luck and hope you enjoy the game.

Yeah. The on-board graphics is going to be your biggest limitation.

Your computer is mediocre at best. Stop making new topics without any new content. Buy a video card.

Integrated graphics sucks because, even if the GPU is powerful enough, it can only ever use system RAM, not VRAM... system RAM is much slower than the dedicated VRAM that dedicated GPUs come with.

Get an RX 480 or 470, or maybe a GTX 1060, they're reasonably cheap and perform well.

    Hi Subgamer1233

I have Windows 10 and it does not have the Windows Experience Index display as you show. In fact, I believe they got rid of it in Windows 8 as it was a useless scoring system anyway; I don't believe it gave an accurate score.

Anyway listing the same values on my laptop I have:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700k CPU 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz
    Installed memory (RAM): 64.0 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

One thing to bear in mind is that Subnautica is in alpha stage now and therefore graphically it is not optimised fully yet. I often have stuttering on my system, and many of SNs players with high end computers get the occasional stutter or pop in scenery. This will continue until the devs fully optimise the graphics of the game prior to the main product release.

My advice is, if you can afford it, or if the game goes on sale, get it. You may have to tone down the graphic settings in the game via the options menu and the F3 tweaking menu. You may find stuttering and pop in of graphics occurring on your system. It's a marvellous game.

Are you able to afford the game now?

Edit: Looking back on other posts of yours I see you are a kid (how old are you?) If your dad is goign to buy it for you then you don't need to worry as to whether you can afford it. Let your dad buy it for you and see how you get on.

Edit 2: It appears from this post that you have the game already

@SubGamer1233 Well atleast your buying a legit version and not just playing on your cracked version, the dev's deserve money for making this amazing game.

Since this seems to have become a "tell me how bad my system sucks" thread...

    Have at me...

    Intel Core i5-4460
    CPU @ 3.20 GHz (x2)
    16 GB RAM
    64-bit OS, x64-based processor
    GeForce GT 720
    (all Drivers current)

(have always been playing a legit version of the game)

Upgrade your GPU to a GTX 1060 or RX 470. (Or GTX 1070 or RX 480.)

The 1070 is waaaay out of my price range.
I might be able to acquire a 1060 3GB, but it depends on what my tax return looks like this year.

By the time you can afford that, hopefully the RX 480 will come down in price. Pretty sure performance-wise it's between a 1060 and a 1070, leaning heavily towards the 1070. And that's before you take DX12 or Vulkan into account (in which case, it's better than a 1070).

I looked at something similar also, but it wasn't on sale.

It was essentially a two fan 1060, but was almost $95 bucks more.
