INFESTATION

so if you drop a egg in your tank, there is a chance that the creature escapes and starts to infest your base, lay eggs, and kill you. They look like they have legs made out of carter and teeth made out of parts of your base. If anyone has a sketch of something that would be cool.

Id like to see a Reefback attempt to escape my tank and start to infest my base, lay eggs, and kill me. :P

But how. There isn't water in your base unless it floods

No that's you don't get. It doesn't need water. It's like a tadpole tearing into a frog.

Where do the eggs come from? Are they normal fish eggs? What are we talking about here? I like the idea in theory, but I don't think it would work in practice. Bases in Subnatica are to safe, but this isn't a good way to add some danger.

That's the thing, bases are TO safe, nothing can destroy them. Nothing can kill them. I want mare danger

I want more danger as well, but how does the egg work? Where is it found? Why does the player bring it inside? This seems like the wrong thing for the right reason.

I can get behind that, but I still don't get what makes the original idea any good.

I think the more important question is: who is Carter, and how are fish legs made out of him? Are the teeth made out of dirt, or does the fish magically gain the ability to breathe air and take up metalworking?

I'd like it if Warpers or something could teleport into or otherwise breach your base to try to attack you.

Like imagine if you're just standing at your fabricator making some stuff

    And you hear footsteps

Duuuude like a bipedal precursor servant thing that's bio-mechanical like the warpers. Except it's all skeleton like and spooky af.

What if, after you've been stabbed by the Precursor weapon system thing to make sure you'r not infected, it collects your DNA and makes a bio-mechanical you in some creepy cloning bay type of place. And your spooky skeleton bro clone will try and kill you, and every time you defeat it it learns more about you for it's next clone of you to try and kill you again.

That would require more coding than 90% of all creatures in the game combined.
