New resources

In order to add new buildable items, we might need new resources. An example: to create something that allows the player to climb up above water surfaces (the side of the Auroura or an island base) we might need something like elastic, or rubber, to keep it on your hands and feet.

The current plan is for uranite and uranium to damage you when you pick them up and/or hold them if you don't wear the radiation suit. I'm kinda hoping we'll also get lead-infused lockers to store them or else be damaged when we get nearby.
Def. I know the devs are interested in making base damage more complex with equipment getting damaged by flooding or fire. Won't happen before V1.0 and possibly at all, but if it gets implemented, it certainly would be interesting if a damaged nuclear reactor would leak radiation too.
What do we need amethyst for?
Forming Opal, Sugilite, and Smokey Quartz?

Because... I don't know, we just don't have enough purple (in my opinion). And I WILL come up with a use for amethyst, but not now. Creating stuff is one of my specialties, it just takes time. And if you have a useage idea for it, I'd love to hear it.
Fabricator: worktable= 1 titanium
Worktable: bow+quiver= 1 silicon rubber, 1 bulbo tree sample, 2 amethyst, 1 titanium
Worktable: 4 arrows= 1 reaper skeleton sample
Brilliant.
... The hell kind of bow needs GEMSTONES?
1: Honey! I will go out, hunt-diving with my friends.
2: Okay darling, take your bow and shoot us some fine underwater-deer.
Why would you ever need a bow in Subnautica?
You already have a stasis rifle to stop the time.
I think, a bow instead would be just to overpowerd.
(And please don't discourage creativity. If someone sees this and decides to create something of their own like it, please encourage them. Me? I'd like your advice and feedback on this, so be as honest as possible.)
My feedback is that you are shortsighted, and apparently have no idea of the flow of this video game.
If the player loses a fabricator, and the ability to build a fabricator (and that is impossible, given the escape pod), they have reached the end of a game with a failure condition. Anything else is another game entirely, like Ark:SE, or something. Or getting rescued by an incoming ship that can actually dodge, in a complete deus ex machina.
That, and the extra dev time it would take to model and program all the sticks and vines and basic survival stuff for scraping by in one of the two smallish areas on the entire planet that seem to be above water. Which, again, could never happen because the pod has a fabricator. This is likely the reason that the pod DOES have a fabricator, and a guaranteed power supply: so they don't have to worry about a player managing to screw themselves over.
BTW thanks for being honest.
