The idea I have isn't quite complete but I had a thought that it would be very very cool to have on board base AI to be able to malfunction or gain some form of self awareness that can act in aggression to the player. This would add a new element of danger to the game when even your own equipment can turn on you.
Some ways I think it could be implemented;
Flooding the base then releasing your alien containment creatures into that now flooded base to go after you
Doing the above and then locking you in with said creatures, then once you fix the ai you could drain the facility and just pick up the flopping sandsharks and put them back or whatever.
Oxygen fluctuations, poisoning food made, these are just a few ideas
And of course you have to have some level of snark in the ai personality
Some ideas to combat rogue ai would be cutting power to the base thus shutting down the ai and rebooting it, having a control room with some of the ideas from other posts implemented and adding the craft able ai.
Of course that would mean there would have to be some kind of benefit to having one to offset the potential risks.
Also leaving an ai rogue could infect your other alterra connected technologies
I'm interested to hear everyone's take on this and thank you for your time

At most she should just become a snarky sarcastic bitch.
And then you have to leave her behind

And you could pick up Wheatley and hang him in your base. There are Subnautica-Portal crossovers that need to happen and this is one of them.
This. 1,000 x this. Subnautica has the potential to live on indefinitely with mod support, as FreeSpace has through the FreeSpace Open project, and others have as well.
That being said, it's a creative idea.
And of course mod support is post release but the point is that this game would make an excellent candidate
