The New Update?

So i was watching the most recent video on a subnautica lets play (user 8BitRyan) and i saw that he had the most recent build (43002 Jan 2017) but when i checked my game it was still the old build so does anyone know what exactly is going on?

8-bit is playing experimental mode. Next stable update is tomorrow (or should be). You can enable experimental mode under Betas in the Steam properties (but keep in mind there will be more bugs, not just more content).
