Tools/Vehicles - Durability and Battery Status Display

Ever sat in your P.R.A.W.N or Seamoth, wondering what the onboard displays are for? Let them have a life!!! Make the vehicle show its durability and battery state on the display!
Also the Cyclops bridge interior could be a little more interactive. There's a bunch of "control panels" that simply are a decoration right now.
Same goes for the tools charged by a battery. I noticed you actually can see battery status on the habitat builder, so it shouldn't be that hard to make. The code is already there.

I've spent a few minutes in Photoshop to make a quick preview of what I mean, though I'm fully aware the way I have made it doesn't exactly fit the game by design. The concept though is clear I hope.

Last, but not least, this idea can also be applied to bio/nuclear reactor display, which could show remaining fuel, and also thermal plant and solar panel showing charging capacity.

I think if you poke around this thread a bit, you should be able to get the images posted using [ img ] [ /img ] tags.

    It should show them

Figured the images, the post editor was bugged somehow and didn't allow me to link images through buttons, but writing the tags manually works. OP edited.

Example of nuclear reactor display with all useful information:

I agree with the first statement, but not the cyclops one. What would the panels do? you've got all the controls needed on the glass, when you pilot it.

    wait
    new idea.
You can create robots (max. 2) to help pilot the cyclops. It's a three pilot sub, so there are three pilots.
You are one, with only the steering. The other two work with the control panels. You communicate by pressing a key bind (default 't') to bring up a chat box with the two robots. Their names are 1 and 2.
You speak to them and they do as you say- for instance, you say "1, turn on keel camera" and you view the keel camera or "2, give me the current depth" and you will see the depth in the chat box.
They also speak to you, so a chat box may open when they want to speak, and the message "captain, low power, 2" will appear, or maybe "captain, camera footage suggests we are currently in the dunes biome. PDA scans suggest that this is the territory of lots of reaper leviathans, are you sure we want to continue? 1" will appear.

It doesn't say that you need three people to PILOT the sub, just that the Cyclops was intended to be OPERATED by three people. That could mean like... One person runs navigation, one person pilots, the third is there to man the docked Seamoth or PRAWN.

    Ok
But either way, it's still a cool idea of creating robots to help

@Gawain - The display on the Nuclear Reactor is a very effective proof of concept. You can see at a glance which rods are being used up and its capacity. It would certainly make that display a lot more useful than saying Inactive/Active.
