I just found out that i could repair the drive core yeah? so naturally i go to repair it, i leave the aurora after repairing and i see a reaper leviathan heading DIRECTLY to my base (which is in the safe shallows), so me being me i follow him to my base, he starts slowing down so i slow down and i get smacked in the back by ANOTHER REAPER LEVIATHAN, so now my base is constantly under danger from 2 reaper leviathans
Okay...
So I "just" have a Reefback stuck in the Safe Shallows, 2 Stalker swimming around my first base and a reaper right portside of the aurora in the flat crash zone...

Yup. I'm playing in experimental mode, so my game is a few smaller updates beyond that.
In my current game I now have a reefback and a gasopod circling around that location. Wouldn't be too bad except the gasopod repeatedly gets scared and emits its clouds of yellow gas, usually just as I exit the sea base. >cough<
Could this be location related (center of map 0,0,0)? I built my starter base towards the south end of the safe shallows by the lava vent. Haven't had any of the issues mentioned here. It would be interesting to know the location of people's bases who are experiencing this.
I wish base attacks were implemented but I don't think that they are yet. I haven't seen anything on trello yet that would indicate that it was implemented.
Reefbacks are acting weird also lately, doing backflips and sh*t lol
Yes, I have noticed this too. Whenever a reefback pops into existence it's generally on its back and has to flip over. Though I have never seen one poop
Hey! I had a Reaper Leviathan migrate to my safe shallows too, in a fairly recent experimental save.
One thing I did notice is that this one only actually spawns when I come up close after having been away for a while. I'm not sure if it migrated from one of those jumpscare lifepods or what.

Probably just a glitch with updating old game files...
...but I would so love it if deep water bases occasionally had temporary 'visitors'...
Had it with the Safe Shallows, I'm moving to the Lost River.
This was a brand new game started yesterday after the Castle & Coffee update.
(brand new game-save started Thursday night)
The thing drifted across the shallows, did a big loop and then drifted back where the Hell it came from.
I was down in a hollow collecting a couple of Quartz crystals and just happened to look up as it sailed overhead.
My first thought was... Oh Dear God..., where did I leave my Seamoth?!?
< chuckle >
Bring it on UWE.

Time to build a real base elsewhere.

I don't go out that way anymore.
Noooo! I was hoping it was an incremental expansion to the area creatures wander made possible due to anti-clipping improvements
