  Doesn't Safari have a "Request desktop site" checkbox in the menu somewhere, to temporarily use the non-mobile version. Wouldn't know as I've only got Android stuff

  Yes, you hold down on the refresh icon and tap the pop-up, although it usually errors on vanilla forums, you have to then go back a page and refresh again to see the full site
