I've done all the life pods and the scans that are around them I went to the gun and now have no coordinates to go to... What do I do? Is there a list somewhere of proper plot progression?

Have you been to the lifepod in the Blood Kelp Zone? It's usually one of the last 'pods I get a signal for.
Additionally:
> Have you been to the Floater Island to the south?
> Have you been to the Jellyshroom Caves underneath the Grassy Plataeus?
> Have you been to the caves underneath the Grand Reef?
The lifepod in the Blood Kelp Zone next to the Underwater Islands in the north is actually just there to subtly guide you to a new biome. Search around a bit and try and find some caves in the region. They're what you're after here~
Also, if you do a bit of searching in caves and whatnot, you can find some other, more extraterrestrial constructions...
The caves above ground are where you will find smaller rooms that give you a little bit more backstory on the people who built the gun; if you want to know where to look search it up; I won't give you locations just in case you want to search yourself.
Also further down you'll find larger, incomplete structures, and they plan to add one more. They're all somewhat tucked away, so have a look around
I wandered into the Lost River and found a precursor base but there was nothing to pick up. All the textures where white inside. I checked a play through and the person said it wasn't done. But they had data to pick up. I stumbled on life pod 19; incedently I found no pod at the life pod 7 or maybe 13 signal. It was nearish the koosh zone.
The precursor base being empty of anything to pick up made me ask for a plot line list since there doesn't seem to be a good flow once the Sunbeam crashes.
Don't get me wrong I love a game you have to wander in but a little bit of a hint as to at least the next zone to go to would be nice.
Most of my PDAs I picked up out of order and it kind of really broke the immersion factor.
It does kinda suck reading them out of order, but at the same time I think that's how it should be done. With an open world game like this, the odds are you'll find one collectable before another, and maybe miss one entirely (I often struggled to find the last PDA in the Jellyshroom caves because of where it was located)
They do hint at where your general next location should be though, though IIRC the Floating Island ones didn't direct towards the Jellyshroom Caves very well?
The Sunbeam doesn't 'crash' though, it gets vaporized xD
If the base you're talking about is the AA platform on the Mountains, it's definitely not empty. Or at least it shouldn't be. It's got some Data Terminals and a few Ion Crystals to pick up.
Anyway, I think that a little out of order's fine, since it means that you're being given the freedom to approach things as you want. And that's what I think they're doing wrong with the late game, being too restrictive with things.

Sounds like you need to reset your cache. Follow the guide in the first line of my signature below ▼ , then visit that area again. If you don't want to reset your resources and you don't have performance issues, only delete CompiledOctreesCache. If you have performance issues, delete CellsCache as well.
Well none of it worked and the save crashes now even the back up. I started a new game and by the 3rd wreck the PDAs weren't registering. I'm putting this game down. This is the 8th game restart and reinstall. Not playing anymore. This game has so much potential and it makes me sad that I can't really play it.
Yup running current stable build of Radeon catalyst. Ran drive booster to check the drivers for my mother board north and south bridge did Windows update did CCleaner checked drive health with Samsung Magician and reoptimized the OS settings for stability.
It's a programing problem plain and simple. I'm not mad just sad I have to be relegated to sandbox mode until the next major update. I was really loving the story mode.
I am almost positive he is referring to the precursor base in the Lost River, which currently is only a fancy block with textureless insides. It's unfinished and just a placeholder for now. There are other precursor bases which are fully developed which you can explore elsewhere

Yup. That's the one. After I visited that one the whole game started acting terrible. So rather than kill the game for myself I'm just going to be goofing off in sandbox.
Experimental gives you daily updates before the major monthly updates for the stable build, and I've heard some people say the performance is actually better on this build. The Precursor Facilities are also slightly more complete, but still not finished, as expected.
To switch to experimental all you have to do is right click your game in the steam library, properties, go to BETAs, then instead of having none selected click experimental.
I'll do a clean install just Incase Windows 7 did one of its infamous registry flub-ups. I still have the saves backed up so maybe a full clean out and experimental might do the trick. In case not how do I enable verbose dump on crash?

Tell me if that works
