[Ideas] HUD elements

Hello,
Here my ideas for the HUD elements. In a game like Subnautica i'd like a clean view with not to many elements on the screen. And my idea for the planned HUD looks like this. I think the status elements for food, water and health are not necessary to show up the whole time. On the ohter side the O² indicator should be visible all the time cause its the most important part of the status elements.
Further, I like HUD elements and status indicators which are "interactive" at the character itself or in the environment. For example Metro/ Metro Last Light and Stranded Deep. Both have a kind of watch where u can see the vital values (Stranded Deep) and/ or the remaining time of the air filter (Metro series).
So, how about an diving instrument like a watch or an diving compass (compass upgrade needed) etc. with the function of showing us the vital stats when a shortcut is pressed?
Here's a little montage to illustrate my idea:
At the wrist there also can be an indicator for the temperature.

I know that a new HUD is already planned (https://trello.com/c/qXkTa4f2/6200-new-survival-hud-design-decision). So that's only another idea how to can implement it.

Its off completely but when you hold up your shield or attack or something it shows the entire Hud for a moment before going back away making it extremely easy to check your vitals etc..
I think the same kind of idea could be implemented quite easily into this game except instead of holding up your shield just fix the event to the action button "right click?"
This would have the benefit of being able to meander through the ocean without and annoying hud in the way but still be able to check if you need to
