Cured fruit/vegetable foods?

It seems silly that the player is able to easily cure fish with salt but not, say, dry lanternfruit or make Chinese potato chips (or otherwise cure the various edible plants in the game), and as I have found myself eating more plants than fish as the game progresses it would be nice to be able to make it so that they didn't rot after 30 seconds. And hey, creepvine nori sounds pretty good ;)

Been poking for "alien ambergris" for fruit waxing myself. Would make for a good floating resource and a food preservation method that doesn't take the water value out of the fruit/veggies.

Even though this has been brought up serveral times before, I too think that we should have a method to cure fruits & veggies instead of just fish. Even just a simple "dry-fruit" solution would be nice because with the 50oz big filtered water bottles you can keep your water levels high easy enough. A Nutrition-Block-Machine would be the perfect late game solution and a good equivalent to the BFW-bottles. Just fill it up with enough edible resources and it starts making those blocks untill it runs out of edibles to process.

You could pickle foods. Or like... dry stuff out and make chips or trail mix or whatever.
