Now that the Cyclops is no longer invulnerable, I would guess lots of folks who previously used their Cyclops as a mobile base will quickly learn not to "put all their eggs in one basket".

I saw one player who said he had maybe 50 lockers full of stuff on his Cyclops. Can you imagine losing all that stuff when your Cyclops is destroyed?

Probably, folks will start using a Cyclops as only a transport from point A to point B and stop using it as a mobile base...

It would require editing the game due to removing the Lifepod and any technology related to making a base. Although, the main problem with this is not being able to equip the Seamoth and PRAWN expect for the Pressure Compensator and Storage Module due to no Moonpool.

You won't necessarily lose your stuff. The new vid on Trello/YT states you can retrieve materials from a sunken Cyclops, though I don't know if everything can be retrieved.
