The next version of NS should include a weapon like the rocket launcher from HL. It will have a slow 1 shot reload. It will have a small explosion, but the most important thing is that with a direct hit it will almost kill a fade! Rocket launchers are researched seperately from other weapon techs from the ammo station. Fades won't be the end game anymore.
Imagine someone with a rocket launcher and jetpack!

Even if marines did get a new weapon i doubt it would be a rocket launcher. As you cant really balance it. It would either be to powerful or to useless. Your suggestion is 1 shot reload no blast radius but almost insta kill to fade which in reality IS an insta kill to a fade as you would switch to pistol and finish it off in under 2 seconds. Now if that 1 shot is homing/guided then its far to powerful becuase its bascily a free kill for no skill and one marine could take out every enemy fade. If it wasnt guided then it would be pretty useless as a direct hit with a slow trajectory weapon like the rocket launcher would be very difficult to do making the weapon ineffective and unpractical.
Personally Id like to see either a flame thrower *wink* or a rail gun included for marines if they ever did get a new weapon :/

I heard that Flaya is going to add an Uber Nuke for the Mariens in vs 1.1. It kills all aliens and alien bulidings. But then the aliens spwan INSIDE the Mariens and have to eat there way out! Then they can morph to the OVERMIND its like commander for the aliens. You can control aliens and Mariens and make them dance like Brittnys Dance Beat!!! No Joke!

Guided Rockets Laucher that kills fades in one hit....also killing everthing else in one hit, but onos.
