Perfected the "fade to black". Normally i would of done it with lights. But seeing as the red sky illuminates the shaft, i got no choice but to do it with about a dozen func_illusionnaries on the side and in the middle, each with different FX amounts to make the effect.
This shot is of the newest build and as you can see from the last shot of the effect, is a lot more smooth.
If anyone has a better way to do it that i haven't though of yet, tell me. I don't want to block the red sky's light in the shaft.
VERY VERY NICE!!! im a mapper... but jebus... i cant handle the NS style... too complicated O_O mind whacking the RMF over so i can atleast glimmer at the techniques? :/

Very nice. I still dont like the idea of joining a team when you fall over the side though. Yeah it would be fun, but it could be surprisingly easy to fall off in the big 'respawn rush' at the start of a new round. Especially if you have quite a lot of lag.
Maybe if you put a small rim at least 17 units high around the edge, then it would be neccesary to jump off (you couldn't just get shoved).

Bic-B@ll: The sky is red. I made the light_env to match it. Simple as that. And once again, the lights are only there to illuminate THE DROPSHIP, not the platform.
Ollj: Huh? Can't use illusionnary for this effect. Since the BLACK is what's going to be transparent! hehe
