How do I load a save file into the game?

So, Subnautica can't find the save from my last game apparently.
It is there in the folder with all the other saves but it doesn't show up in game.

Any idea how I can get the game to recognize that save folder so I can load it again?

Post a screenshot of your saved games folder:
    %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\SNAppData\SavedGames\

Hmm. I don't see anything wrong there...

Can you open the slot00 folder that has the saved game you're trying to play, and look for the following files (all 4 must be present as far as I know):
    • gameinfo.json
    • global-objects.bin
    • scene-objects.bin
    • screenshot.jpg (<- that's the little thumbnail showing you a preview of the save when you go to load)

    Well, amazing...
Checking today the save filed disappeared from the folder.
Fortunately I had backed up the file...

All of the 4 files you mentioned were in that folder.
I tried to move it back into the saves folder and load it.
It was set to date back to 2015, damaged file.

    Just gave up on it.
Guess I'll start anew with the next major update.

Thank you very much for your efforts thought!
