Island fauna

Animals on the islands would be nice to have. There could be different types of birds and amphibians on it. Like a type of frog or peacock sort of thing.

An amphibian/reptillian type creature that spends the days underwater to a depth of 0-15 meters and the nights on the island.
Would be cool to check around the floater island during nightfall and seeing all these creatures walking ashore and resting after a long day of hunting.

Getting onto either the floater island or the mountain island is quite crucial to the story of Subnautica and continuation in the game. Whenever I get on the mountain island where the alien defense platform is, I can tell that the environment is very dead besides the cave crawlers that are always trying to kill you. It would be nice to have at least a few alien lifeforms that spawn on the islands.

I think what would really be cool to catch your attention on your visits to the mountain island would have to be a small diversity of creatures that spawn outside on the island and ones that spawn in the underwater cave system. Perhaps, maybe even different flora from what you normally see out in the open ocean. We could at least have a reptilian of some kind that is a variant of an underwater version of it, a predatory bird and maybe even a creature that spends most of its time in the ocean nearby and comes up to the beach to rest.

For the floating island, it seems almost like an 'exotic getaway from home' kind of place. I think it needs some exotic animals that dwell mostly in the trees with crab-like creatures and amphibians that live on the ground. It would be kind of interesting to be able to scan the birds and learn about them. I think there also needs to be a small chain of volcanic islands on the other side of the aurora.

I wouldnt really expect any 'complex' animals on islands as small as those. Amphibians at best indeed. Maybe a few 'insects' along like flying flurocent lightbulbs would give it a nice touch at night.
