Also, as a side note: when the game is saving if I go too far out from a rendered area it turns into nothing but a blue abyss and nothing loads in (and it makes me scared to look down lol), just so y'all know.
It's a different save issue to what you mention. Ive tested every possible scenario, multiple installs, cache clearing, removing profiles etc. Saving and leaving the console for half an hour or more. Different methods of exiting the game (exit to dashboard, exit to main menu, exit to main menu and continue) It simply doesn't save past the first save no matter what you try. This isn't specific to a 'type' of xbox either with both xbox one and xbox one s experiencing the issue.
They are. You shouldn't be lagging on Xbox.
Well it seems to work for me again it's just with my experience I am unable to state how others are seeing this issue just my experience with it, it saves for me but it does take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes just to complete the save, which is too long but again Myself and everyone else has joined a pre release to help bring these issues to the developers attention. I hope they can fix these issues for everyone because no matter the save issue, it is a wonderful game that I continually look forward to playing now and after full release.
im not having any issues nor have i played in a while but i have experimented and the longer you play before saving the longer it takes
Those where scrapped ages ago so I wouldn't bet on it.
Instead I've started, saving and leaving the controller alone, until that saving.. animation is gone. That seems to help although it doesn't completely solve the problem, especially in an active biome. Anyway thought I'd share my experience in an effort to help. I love this game and look forward to these issues being cleared up.
I'm sure they did that, especially when you consider that the last save/load issue happened with the release of the 2 in 1 update. Maybe there's a connection with both times being multiple updates in 1. Really have no idea how much that would have an effect though. Nevertheless I'm sure they'll figure it out soon!

It makes no difference how I exit the game, the results are the same.
Much as I love this game, restarting it all the time with all progress lost par from my first save is becoming tedious now :-) :-p
If folks aren't letting it fully save, then I would definitely call that a bug in the program, wouldn't you?
There's a different entrance now, northwest of there in the Mountains. New biome and everything. Look for it, it's pretty cool.
How do other games handle this? Unless you force-quit, shouldn't it continue to save in the background?
Hi Wyatt. I was hoping this was the solution! On the xbox, when I save the game there is a "please wait" across the screen and a "save" with an icon in the top left corner. The save icon is a circle which fills up showing presumably save progress. Each time I save both this icon and the "please wait" have gone. I'm guessing I'm leaving it long enough?
