  I have seen no official promises about XB1 1.0 regarding save game compatibility. I imagine it is their intent to preserve it if possible.
  
  They intend to work primarily on performance. So, the only thing that would break compatibility would be if they find some performance fix that requires a new savegame format, which is unlikely.
