XB1S F;
Yes they are. If you want to find the Floating Island (FL), look here;
Climb on Life Pod (LP) 5.
Look at the Aurora, directly astern at 1KM, is the FL, the beaches are on the NW.
If you want to find the Mountain Island, look here;
When you're about to enter the Aurora , turn 180° go about 600-700M.
Set Depth for 60M, the island will load faster.
While moving to the NW, keep ranging (looking at) on Lifepod (LP) 5.
The range to LP5 should be 1KM-1.1KM.
If you see or hear a Reaper, run.
Diamonds are in Basalt out croppings.
You might want to prioritize getting yourself a compass if that's a problem. The Aurora is crashed at an angle that makes the nose point NW and the back SE, so you can use that as orientation if need be, but a compass is recommended.
XB1S Freedom;
First, the local 'Sun' rises in the North-ish and sets in the South-ish.
I use the 'Ish' to indicate that even with a compass, a bearing (direction of travel) to a destination
that we the player relate to you can be misleading.
We are giving you a 'general' bearing to a destination.
The axis of the Aurora is NE-ish.
The longer lines 'ticks' on the compass HUD indicate the directions, NE, SE, etc.
Have you repaired the Radio Relay? Received a message lately?
A message trigger (signal icon) is added to your inventory every time you play a message about
one of the Life Pods (LPs). These signals must be mounted to be activated on the HUD.
One of these LPs contains a Compass.
I think they should make an item that can map the planet as you swim so you can find stuff easier. I find myself getting lost all the time and I can't get to the space gun island but I can get to the floater island.
When you've played long enough you'll know the map better than your neighbourhood lol
Beacons can be useful for mapping and getting your bearings. You can often find beacon parts early game. I doubt any other sort of mapping will be added now.
