i think the big white thing could be a hint for arctic biome. does anyone else think that in the expansion pack the arctic biome could replace the lava zone?

Corals live in symbiosis with algae. The coral is white, it's the algae that gives it its distinct and vibrant colors.
In this relationship the coral provides protection and a "home" for the algae, that shares some of its produced "food" with the coral.
When stressed the coral expels the algae and starts to starve.
I'm not sure if that's what you mean by spitting out green stuff.
have you seen the discussion on subnautica ideas and suggestions? its called "the return of the smoking sponge idea". that is what im talking about
Just checked it.
That stuff is just dye, used to aid visualizing how sponges filter the surrounding water. They absorb it from the surrounding water and expel it from that bigger hole on top.

From my understanding, the arctic biome will involve a completely different female character and be in a completely different part of Planet 4546B. We might even see some of the other lifepods in the new DLC. However one of the databank entries indicated there was only 1 human lifesign after 8 hours since if there was 2 survivors after 8 hours, then the other survivor was either out of range or shielded from the Aurora. So the DLC could involve a completely different ship.
If you are seeing a hint from the arctic biome, then it could be you are on Experimental mode. There is no reason why the Stable version should have anything from the arctic biome until the DLC is released.
