Im just wondering how everyone found out about NS, I found it though PC gamer  <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> , maybe we can hear some origanl stories <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    Well, when the old posts get moved over here, most of our stories will be explained. A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was clicking through links at PHL. Those links led me to natural-selection.org where I was amazed at what evil things an overlord known only as 'Flayra' was trying to do with the Half-Life engine. Bottom line, if it's on a HL engine, I'll give it a chance. NS has been in my heart since that first day. *tear*

    The very first day NS appeared on PHL I ran over here and signed up on the forums. They were in need of some hosting for larger files, which I glady provided and have been oogling over the mod since. That was...oo...I forget now

    I saw the stuff at PHL and thought it was good.  But then my friend was talking about it being in PC Gamer.  Then I took a look and liked it.

    PHL for me too.  Seems like a long time ago.  Last September maybe, or was it earlier than that?

    Thinking back, I was <i>this</i> close to giving the "Nostromo" hallway I had just made to whoever made that LV-426 single-player mod, since they seemed to need help in the mapping dept.  I happened to catch a single paragraph at PHL and followed the link to NS right before I was going to send an e-mail to the LV-426 guys.  *Whew*, that was close! <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    I had just moved out to Iowa, and was walking around my cornfield when I started hearing the voice of Flayra saying:

    Obviously, I was little freaked out. But then I started carving a huge <b>RR</b> out in the field, and before I knew it, people were showing up to demand beta tester status.

    I saw NS's frist ever paragraph in the 'Todays mod News' section on PHL one day back in August (I think, maybe September).  This was back when NS was on overmind.org, bak in the time when N@rby and Crinity were the mappers.  Back in tht day, there were about 10 of us registered on the forums and most of them were on the team.

    shortly after getting my network hooked up in my new place of residence (mid-late Sept)i was looking for new mods to kick my room mates arses at.
    and then i saw a link that was a mod AND related to evolution.  one extensively long post later, and i was hooked.  (and my psychologist says my condition has degraded since...)
