Disable Windows 10 Focus Assist if you're having issues

There's a **MAJOR** issue due to a new windows feature : "Focus Assist" needs to be disabled **entirely**. Not just the off button, but the following option "When I'm playing a game" as well.

It can have a negative impact on NS2, from in game stuttering to preventing Alt-Tab from functioning correctly. In some rare cases, it can even lock up your PC. We are working on how to better deal with this feature, but in the meantime we *highly* recommend disabling it.

    Yeah I ran into this problem last night, game minimized and then wouldn't open again until I turned the focus assist off. I thought my computer was trying to eat itself or something, was in pure panic mode lol.. isn't windows 10 just freaking great!!!

    It's so much fun having a super intrusive, bloated, Cortana infused, smart phone designed OS that forces updates on you whether you want them or not.

    Mine was turned off my default, but I had duplicating my display and while gaming rules on.

    Luckily I've somehow managed to break Windows Update, so I no longer have to care about stuff like this.

    It looks like you are, yes.
    I can tell you the latest update has it for sure.

    I got this update about 2 weeks ago roughly, some only got it a few days ago, and still some don't have it yet.

    Heh I have been putting off an "Update and shut down" for over a week now, I guess it's in there. Will be sure to turn this crap off though. :smile: (Typically I use hibernate so I can keep my cheeky session for later.)

    My PC just updated to build 1803 yesterday with the semi-annual channel (non-targeted), focus assist appeared. I had to turn it off for other games too, for example in Sven Co-op it was causing a 2-second delay for an ALT+TAB out of the game to happen.
