I've had this specific idea ever since I joined in like early 2016, so this thread shows just how much I'm determined to get it noticed lol. I was watching a Jonathan Bird video about sponges and how they filter feed. In the video he used a non-toxic dye to show just how effectively sponges pump water, and the result was fascinating and amazing:
I seriously think that seeing such sponges that naturally smoke a bright liquid would be extremely fitting in subnautica, and I can imagine seeing such things in the expansion. With the coming of the expansion and the devs taking ideas, I just felt that now's the time to revive this one
