Confused About “Launch” Version

You folks announced that Subnautica had launched, yet my installed version hasn’t been updated in a very long time. I’d have expected it to have been updated to reflect a launch version.
Furthermore, the title screen shows “Update 84 Released” news in the news box.
Please tell me you didn’t burn this version to your retail DVDs, where a person launches a release version of a game only to see pre-release news on the title screen.
Are you sure that Microsoft has 1.0 available on the store?
How do I verify my installed version? For the record, I’ve deleted Subnautica and reinstalled from the store.
I’d rather not start posting bugs and issues (little to no available resources, for example), if what I am playing on isn’t truly the retail release version.
