game is not working

I got game from epic games launcher and it starts and get me to start page and it loads map and shows me press any button to start but when I press button it shows me just black screens. and I can somehow skip that using 'esc' key but after that if I do anything it just freeze. also I have no sounds what so ever.

I tried reinstalling many times and it does same thing.
I tried none vr mode. and my drivers are updated.

I have GTX 1050 gpu
and i7 cpu.
if i can get some help that'll be wonderful.

My game works for the most part I play on Xbox but when I go into my pda it takes everything out of my hot bar then won’t go back in unless I drop everything on the ground and pick it back up and sometimes in some areas a black box appears on my screen and I can’t see some of the wrecks far away from the safe shallows. But other than that the game is really good and one of my favorites keep up the great work

to the Subnautica custom launch options (found in the Epic Launcher setings)

-delete options folder (I copied and pasted it to my desktop then deleted it from the subfolder)

so i shot a warper with a stasis rifle i guess he warped the same time it happened and i got teleported to -2147483648m my screen is completely black a bunch of dialogue happened and that's it i cannot die and i cannot open anything im stuck i tried reloading but it loads back to this i really do not want to lose my 30+ hours of game play i am on pc using the epic games launcher

Right, you're going to want to warp back to your base / lifepod / Cyclops (whichever you boarded last).

Fire up your console by pressing F3, then F8 to give you a mouse. Now click through the F8 screen into the F3 screen behind it on the "Disable Console" checkbox, to enable the console (I believe you un-check "Disable Console", it's either that or check "Enable Console").

Now press F8 and F3 to close them. You might have to flick F3 on and off again after to get this to stick (if the console box won't come up, try that).

Press Enter and a gray text box should appear at the lower-left (if not flick F3 on and off). Put in the code

thank you for the suggestion i did try that but i cannot click on anything on the screen when i am there so i cannot turn on console commands. i screwed the pooch on this one i think lol

The F8 screen gives you mouse control. You must have both F3 and F8 up at the same time, then click on the console enable box. I know it seems like you wouldn't be able to, but you can click straight through the F8 screen into the F3 screen to check options on / off (same goes for the F1 screen, if you're ever poking around in there for whatever reason).

Guys, check and see if you can update to version 417.71 if you're on nVidia graphics. Seems this fixed the problem for ntrox:
