Just got sea glider and compare with swimming without tools its about 2% faster then normal swimming is this a bugg or is the sea glider literally worthless now?
I also feel like the seaglide is much faster than swimming.
According to the wiki the top swimming speed should be around 7.6 m/s, and that is without tools and oxygen tanks.
The seaglide, again following the wiki, has a top speed of 10 m/s (so about 32% increase).
A seamoth has an in game entry stating a top speed of 13 m/s.
I haven't tested those numbers, but they do feel about right to me.
However, if you feel like testing it (or already did), please do share your findings with us.
P.S: Just realized you're talking about Below Zero, which I played very little. I did use a seaglide most of the time, and it felt much faster to me too. Later when I get back to the game I will pay more attention to it.
I find the Seaglide is slower on surface and doesn't seem to use power, so I assume it is normal swim speed. But underwater it always seems a lot faster to me. I think I use it more than anything on average. Especially early game and very deep. Every other mode of transportation is for storage only.
