My guess is, the developers wanted the Kharaa to have their OWN language...this way they can communicate and the Frontiersman won't have any idea of what's being said, they'll just hear strange noises, which they're hearing already! From what I understand when you use the Khaara comms something shows up on the hivesight. I myself have never seen any of the Khaara comms on hivesight but I have used the "I need healing!" Khaara comm near a gorge and he came over and healed me. He must have known that I needed healing somehow.

They show up on Hive Sight BUT ONLY to those that are aiming to your circle so that they see your nick Then they see something like "Puistokemisti chuckles"
Shouldn't TSA sounds sound like "blagbrahabluh" or something to the Kharaa? I have been thinking that something like that would be neat but is it possible to change the soundfile being played depending on the team you are in? I haven't even touched the HL engine itself so I have no idea
But all other messages except chuckle should display themselves on hive sight even though you aren't aiming at that player

One problem with that though, if your marines need ammo/health and one of your bases is being attacked, the comm chair will go directly to the base where its attacked when you press the "jump" button, not the marine that needs health/ammo.

Still, it works MUCH batter than voice re: "gimmmeee sum ammo comm" and you're supplying 3 different battles not knowing wtf he is.
which reminds me, why the hell did they put a ready room thing under the comm as aliens. i accidently hit it in the middle of a big fight and i got sent straight to the ready room. god damn it i was ****.
kwikloader you better change your sig size befor a mod/admin sees it (Coil or Fam for example)... unless its all under the proper proportions (which i doubt it is <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> )

You can change the sound files to something else, but you'll have to name it the same as the previous file and you won't beable to join servers with file consistancy set to 1 (on).

Blubbab riblubba grub! to the Kharaa like Stoneburg said, and then terran should be able to understand it.
And then when terrans hear the kharaa talking it should sound like RIGGIDDY BLEHHHH!!!! but to the Kharaa it should sound like "ME NEEDS HEALTH!"
