Here's the reason you get up in the mornings and why you'll
sleep soundly tonight.
Answer this question and all will be good*
Which game should I get from the list below?
Unreal Tournament 2003
Aliens Versus Predator 2
WarCraft III
I've got AVP Gold (very old but very good), scares the hell outta my sister <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.
I love games like this where you can play as Aliens and get caught up in the atmosphere of the
maps. (Probably why i love Natural Selection soooo much)
I've been playing the UT2K3 demo to death recently and am enjoying the bombing run map.
(Notice the word "MAP" and not "MAPS", getting abit easy so the new game tempts me)
As for Warcraft III.... well it's discounted and is rumoured to be quite addictive (which is good)
I've got sick of Black & White's hassles and SWAT3 gathering dust on my shelf
so i think i might as well trade those in.
All input welcome, please no "OMG Warcraft ownz j00, 4nD AVP sukzorx!!! ". posts.
* Peace of mind is a figure of speech, if you die in your sleep its not my fault.

As for the demo.... browsing Google for it now.
More replies please!
there is a NoFog Cheat that is prevalent and simple to find
Ut2003 is a game thats fun for a while, it does get repetitive blowing up people over and over again... yes thats deathmatch, bombing run, as most users have already said, is fun, but nonetheless is fun for only a while. Graphics are really neat and i am looking forward to mods on this game.
AVPII, well im not too sure on this game...i would rather just boot up some natural selection with avp skins <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
it's an awesome, strategy at it's finest
don't bash it because your too much of a **** to enjoy it. That game was made for online play of course the single player isn't all that. In the end I have probly played way more war3 than NS. However when you compare War3 and AvP2 it's apples to oranges. If you like NS you will like AvP2. War 3 is completely different. AvP2 has awesome single player while war3 has awesome multi. It's up to you
As for online-play, if you learn fast, you will learn most every strategy from the first 5 games you play, master them in a week, and get REALLY bored after that. The game is either get killed fast, get destroyed all of a sudden, or slaughter your enemies. The fun that was Warcraft 2 is gone. I just didn't like the new way they did things (especially "heroes") Was a great idea, fundamentally.
[edit] why I learned how to win in 5 games was because of the very excellent "replay" button[/edit]
differences from AVP1 to AVP2:
better graphics than #1, much more balanced multiplayer balance(at least what i've heard, haven't played #1, but the demo)
you can't destroy lamps as an alien anymore
(dunno if this was in #1 but) you start as a facehugger in the alien campaign.
UT2K3:

as darkbolt says its fun, but it doesn't last for long if you haven't a good connection or some friends who are always ready for LAN play.
WC3:
well its okay, but i don't find it THAT good, and it gets boring, after some time. Maybe it gets more interesting with the upcomming add-on.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->my beef with war3 was the lack of variety. You have 3 main strats, and I think 2 counterstrats (provided you're not the orcs, who get bum-*#$&% if they don't rush early)

What i love about UT2K3 is the characters body detail. For example, when you kill
someone and they fall off a ledge or hit a wall, you actually SEE the joints in their
bodies bend and crumple.
On the bombing run demo last night I was simply jumping through the bomb target
and watching my character fall to his death. Hitting several beams as he did so. It
looked amazing. But you can't buy a game JUST for character animations can you.
So it looks like i'll be picking up AVP2 and/or Warcraft 3. Never know I might
get lucky and get both.
There is a lot more emphasis on team work (Double Domination and Bombing Run in particular are near impossible to win solo)
But as has been said before it gets repetitive if you don't play against real people.........
[Edit]Britney's Dance Beat too!
I got ::drum roll:: Aliens Versus Predator 2 (i love the whole concept of games
like this far too much to not try it)
annnnnnnnnd WarCraft 3. (too much praise around for me not to give it
a whirl.
If anyone feels like showing me the rops on either, simply PM/ICQ/MSN and
i'll be glad to show you what "beginners luck" really is <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Quick edit, just HAD to say.... Tenebrae NICE sig pic mate! Very cool
UT2003 buy for the potential mods, not the game itself, which is really just UT with one very good addition, Bombing Run.
Warcraft 3 is mediocre.
Great game, and I would still be playing it if I didn't like NS more.
Isn't that true of all Blizzard games?

Whoa.
People ARE entitled to have their opinions.
Personally, I agree with a certain website that stated "WC3 is proof that you CAN polish a turd".

LOL!
I like Blizzard and all, but I also like games that have SOME type of innovation. I liked Battle Realms, but no one else did because it didn't follow the "Blizzard-prescribed-RTS-formula."
Hell, War3 added the "new idea" of unit upkeep the day after Battle Realms was released, which had been using the upkeep idea for months.
