Problem With The Mouse

System:
AMD T-bird 800
512 RAM PC-100
GF2 Ultra
SB16 Sound card
MS Optical USB mouse
WinXP Pro

Here is the deal, the movements when playing are jerky. Not because of lag, but because of the mouse movements. It seems to clear up for awhile after I reinstall NS, but eventually it goes back to the same jerkyness. If I switch over to CS, no problems. So I don't think it is the surface or the mouse that is the problem.

I have copied my sensitivity settings as they are in CS to test it, but still the same. Any suggestions?

Test the USB->PS/2 adapter normally shipped with the mouse.

The MS mouse is strictly USB. I have tried multiple games to see if it can be duplicated, but the problem is within NS settings I think. I do not experience this anywhere else but the NS mod. Now, this never happend in the begginning, just recently started. It just acts all jerky, not regestering my movements.

I have a MS explorer optical mouse, and:
    - I recieved an adapter with the mouse
    - My mouse locks sometimes, and I have to move it very fast to unlock. THis happens even under windows and I think it's because the mouse is getting old (I can read "roso" instead of "Microsoft" lol)
It seems strange, maybe try to enable/disable mouse filter in HL configuration.

type m_filter 1 in console for a start.
If it's still acting up, try this <a href='http://www.hardcoreware.net/files/mouse_fix.reg' target='_blank'>http://www.hardcoreware.net/files/mouse_fix.reg</a>
