My Commander View.

Does not work please help.
Hi before you even telling me that there is a link called search I have already tried that but didn’t find any answers. My problem is my map that I'm working on... I just can’t get the comm view to work, I can go into the com chair but it’s just black. I don’t know where I have made a setting wrong in the info_mapinfo entity and I have asked many m8's of mine to help but none knows. So if any of you could be so kind and help a fellow mapper in need with his problem I would really be glad. I have uploaded the map @: http://medlem.spray.se/ldworldcraft/temp/n...s_caligatio.zip and it’s only the commander room where the cc is. Please tell me the settings I should set the info_mapinfo on (you have to compile the map and see for yourself; make sure u don’t get leaks). I’m using the Ns wad and some other doesn’t really matter. I really need to get this working so I can see if my func_wieldeble works etc. I'll also attach the file to this post in case the URL does not work.

For screens on the map http://medlem.spray.se/ldworldcraft/exempel.htm

Your commander view height is set at 900, which is below the level of all your brushwork. This is why you are not seeing anything. Setting it at 3000 got it to work for me. Oh, and your map leaks

Also, if you have a leak comm view will not work. Vis calculations calculate ceilings as invisible to the team_command entity.

Ok. Would it be to much to ask what i should set the minimum and maximum X and Y values on so the minimap would work perfectly?

Depends on the maximum/minimum X and Y values for your whole map.

i think the minimap always works correctsl (if theres no leak). the MaxXY MinXY are just for the scroll range of the command view.
You dont want to scroll over a huge void at the mapbroders as commander.

While we are on the subject of minimaps, how do i get a minimap to my map? When i hop into the comm chair, it only shows the map as black, except for white dots that represent nozzles and hives.

Do i need to make it myself and import it somehow into the map or is there a variable somewhere that turns it on/generates it?

Build a mini map for your commander. Enter the game, go to the console and type 'buildminimap'. A progress bar will appear at the bottom of the screen as NS does the calculates where buildings may be placed in your map. Mini-maps are stored in the NSTR/Sprites/MiniMaps folder. Separate SPR files are generated for each screen resolution and should be distributed with your map.
