Plz Help!

<div class="IPBDescription">Cant start up a game???</div> Hi everyone, this is the very first time i've tryed to play Ns. I know this should really be here but it seemed the most active place, so sorry if i annoy any one. But any wa, when i try start up my game it dosent work. I get to the window where u click console, configuration and such, i click multiplayer and then it says connecting to Valve. I get to the screen with 2 marines, and it starts receiving files but then it just dosent start and keeps going on i let it go up to way over 15000 and it still didnt work what do i do???

    To explain a few things .

    Your problem is , that your Half-Life cant connect directly to the won server which has all files it needs to be able to filter a mod .
    Sometimes when this server is down Half-Life tries to connect to another won server which has to ping all servers first and cant distinguish between different mods.

    The Links displayed above are some often used connecting programs which connect automatically to other servers which can filter the mods.

    ASE , All-seeing-eye isnt Half-Life only , so you can use it with every other game , but its shareware.

    HLSW is only Half-Life and its freeware.

    What he is trying to tell you is that you should not use the in game server browser. You should go to the first links <a href='http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/' target='_blank'>http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/</a> and download the all seeing eye (ASE) and use that to search for games. It is not a very big download, has very good filter options. If you download it, then have a look at my site <a href='http://members.lycos.co.uk/userselection/gsg/guide.htm' target='_blank'>here</a> as it has a small guide to using the ASE.

    any idea why his HL browser doesn't work? Maybe you just have to restart? When I see that "connecting to valve... blah blah" message up for more than 3 seconds i just close NS, start it again and it works fine.
