Decompile the fade and grab them that way. If you don't know how see the "Modelling 101" thread up at the top of the forum - there are instructions on decompiling (and a program to use) there.

hmm i still cant get the skeleton from it. is it just something im doing wrong?

On the "Joints" toolbar, check "Show Skeleton."

File>Import>Half-Life SMD...

You'll need to pick out lvl4.smd, or something to that effect.
