<div class="IPBDescription">Please take a look!</div> Well, i managed to get through a compile without any errors, and i took a few screenshots to show all you lovely people. Yes, i know they are very dark, but I can't help that. These pictures will take a while to load, especially if you are on a 56k modem, so please be patient. The forums won't let me display the pictures for some reason, so i have put them all on a little .html page. View the pictures at www.tdhfiles.com/~quasar/espace/espace.htm
Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated, don't just say "this sucks", give a reason and if possible a solution.

No, it doesn't. At least, not yet. If i could find a way to make it hurt only marines, then it would, because aliens wouldn't be killed by their own hive.

That gives me an idea... The hive could be suspended over a large pit of the water that the turbines manipulate. I think I may use that idea...

Nice little layout, maybe shaping of the walls is needed. Are you actually using textured lighting? because it dont look liek that . . . if your not then you should.

    1. Boxy
    2. The 2 lights seem too bright. Your resource node appears to be hovering. The angle between the wall and ceiling is a very sharp 90 degres for a hive room so completely covered in infestation. The monitors are'nt giving off any light. I bet the rounded corners are giving you un-naturally high r_speeds in there.
    3. Yes your res node is definitely floating.
    4. The ceilng seems very flat. The texture on top of the generator repeats alot. I assume no-one is going inside the generator, so you could make the dome solid and save yourself a hell of a lot of planes. The monitor is not giving off any light. The lighting is very flat, seem liek you only have one light source for the whole room. Where the hallway joins the room it would look better with a door frame.
    5. same as picture 4
    6. Needs some cover.
    7. You appear to have overlapping brushes in the archway.
    8. Yep, you've definitely got overlapping brushes ion your archway.

Not bad for a first build.

Sorry if this seems over-critical, fixing these things should be quite easy. If you have any problems with how to correct these issues give me shout and i'll write them all up. (just too tired to write up the soloutions right now).

    Keep working on it.

I like your map but you have a lot of rooms and halls, that are just wayyyyyy too marine friendly. Its ok to have some halls but try putting structures where aliens can hide, because other wise playing skulk would suck <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

On another note man great job on the map!!
