Weapons Changing

Not sure if this is an issue that was discussed before or if i am simply not paying attention to the game that well, but, ive been playing for a while and the one thing that bites my ball$ more than anything is not being able to change to a pistol or knife once the reload sequence has started.
I'll admit it, the tendency is a carry over i picked up from CS and DoD, but it a hard habit to break, wanted to know if anyone else has been as stubborn as me in not automatically reloading at will instead of switching to secondary weapon....and if it is possible for this to be altered, as far as i know NS is the only game that wont let a player change weapons while reloading (could be wrong here)...anyway some feedback would be nice....

Are you trying to use the mousewheel or something? I have keys bound to all 3 weapon slots, and never use the wheel at all.
what i hate is when you have 0/0 bullets and start getting ammo, it will reload the clip with only half ammo, then kinda lag up, the armory feels really glitchey now.
Yea this has been getting on my nerves since 1.04, it isnt just 0/0, if you go to the armoury with an empty clip as i do instinctively you still get the very dodgy 'lagging' effect as the weapon can't seem to decide wether it wants to reload or restock its ammo.
I've started geting one clip, reloading, then filling up my reserve.

TeoH... and all those who mentioned this problem
its even worse when building
sometimes after a heated battle and i wanna build something quickly cuz i know the enemy is coming and im gonna die.. i build wif 0 ammo and i hafta reload.. well its annoying... it builds and the weapon pops out then the weapon disappears and it builds for a bit and so on T.T

AZ-that problem has been around since the beginning. if you run out, switch to knife to build, seems an easy fix. Annoying but it works for me.
As for reloading, you can't reload your knife, so you always get 1/2 a clip if you ever hit 0/0 (I'm used to doing that, I start with about 50/150 and you run out fast if 5 skulks run in at you. If you die, no problem, but if you hit 0/0, you have to reload TWICE to get a full magazine, GL spam is slowed only in because the reload rate for EVERYONE has been retarded. It's still possible to spam Grenades, you just need 2-3 GLs to do it, and you need them to be out-of-sync.

What I found is that if you use the normal selection mode to change weapons (where you see the weapon images on the top of the screen) then you can change weapons in reload.
However, if you change your weapon by using the quick weapon change (such as the bind for last inventory) then you cannot change while reloading.
Anyway that's what I found out.

If the change to how ammo reloads was supposed to stop GL spam, it hasn't. You've just got to keep your reserve at 30.
Edit: I've had the build-reload-build-reload.....problem as well, but its only happened since 1.04.
I have that also but it isnt really too bad. Just you have to stop building. Wait about 3 secs for your gun to sort itself out (and stop thinking it has a mind and doesn't need to attached to a marine lol) and then build again.
