<div class="IPBDescription">(a good thing)</div> What's your favourite method of torturing marines?
Mine is this, on ns_caged
Build a defence chamber in their base vent, go fade with adrenaline and regeneration. Lay waste to their base. You can stay in that vent for ages, acid-rocketing them. If you take some hits move back and let yourself heal, then start again. Until they get jetpacks and/or grenades they can't touch you (and of course, they have to be able to build the arms/proto labs first, which you will be merrily shooting). Even if they weld the vent you can still get into it (from their base) as a skulk or lerk, then evolve up. (It is also a great place to hide as a lerk, and lerk-spikes are a lot less noticable than fade acid - great for taking down their base equipment.)

But the most torturing thing you can do is web them with gorge.
If the Marine is alone and far inside your Territory you can get him pinned as long as you like, then when you have played enough with your food, start spitting on him and when he s getting real softcake like, swallow him <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
When I'm teasing a marine team, killing them using only parasite is my preference.
Tried the babbler thing on Maint,CompCore,Eclipse once and it just didn't work out for us.

Sometimes it just don't work that way...you gotta have leaders and you gotta have followers. From time to time when comm'ing I'll hop out of the chair and help the boys out, but that's a rare occurance. Then again, this quote mostly pertains to pubs, not scrims & matches. Clan play is a whole 'nother world <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Yeah spikes fall down with distance.
But then again, id u post right here? Or wasnt this another topic? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

<b><span style='color:red'> This is a nasty way to do it but effective, also if a gorg builds defs at the bottom to block rotary door with turrets and puts def behind them U can go down to the bottom of the vent</b> (<i> welded or not</i>) <b>and heal up </b></span>
You can stay in that vent for ages, acid-rocketing them. If you take some hits move back and let yourself heal, then start again. <b><span style='color:red'>good tactic but they catch on and then continously empty ammo your way and unless U get some1 to attack them whilst they r distracted its a waste of time.</b></span>
Until they get jetpacks and/or grenades they can't touch you (and of course, they have to be able to build the arms/proto labs first, which you will be merrily shooting)<b><span style='color:red'>and if they have welded the vent and have HMG and JP then jus kill yerself as they slaughter U <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--></b></span>

Any1 that uses this tactic is lame and should learn to play is the response U get from marines!!</b></span>
<b>its sad when they start losing and resort to whinging isnt it?</b><!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Another nasty way of abusing marines is to illall their buildings apart from the Ip's and jus continually slaughter em until they catch onto the tactics and all leave to readyroom.
Now I personally dont do this and proceed to kill the Ip's as it is jus wasting time and annoyig marines!
PFG is not in the sYndiCate sYn btw
That was my understaning until recently when i actually tested it. The damage dealing is hitscan, it goes EXACTLY where you point the crosshair. The spike itself is only for effect and to allow marines to figure out where you are shooting from.
Again, even if the spike itself is hitting something (say a railing you're hiding behind, or the bottom of the vent you are in) the damage is still being dealt on the center of the crosshair.
Ignore the spikes, lerks are super-snipers.

That is completely true.
Web them, and keep webbing them so they won't get free. If you have adrenaline... boy... they'll never go near you again
What your team needs to do is the traditional, and very mean, tearing down of the entire base except for the spawn portals (at least take their comm chair(s)). But unlike when you traditionally wait for them to spawn and then kill them right off, you just leave. alll go gorge and start building chambers everywhere. After that task is accomplished, all go Onos and just start patrolling. Marines, if they bother to even stay (which they probably won't), can use their ever so limited ammo to start slowing taking out the chambers around their base. But, then they encounter the Onos. The Onos don't attack the marines, not at first. No, they only attack the marines if the marines attack them first.
A harsh political message. The marines are welcome to stay there, but only if they live in harmony with the aliens.
Everyone gets a good laugh on that one
When the marine base is getting trashed, preferably with only a single IP left...
Everyone start gestating right there in the marine base.
Unless they have great weapon upgrades, they can't do enough damage to kill an egg before a teammate comes by and wipes out the lone spawning marine.
