maybe you should just not remove the hive avatar from the main list flayra. Its the essence of NS: the coder is not some super arrogant person just making his mod, but he is one of the fans too. I see you not just as the maker, but also as a forum go-er under the many. You still talk to us, while you are damn busy making tha mod.
I think no one using your avatar is a symbol of respect. Every now and then a newbie uses your avatar, and then they realise what it means, and quickly change it. Its something really no one has. I felt this way too when i had the marine avatar. But then there were times i thought messages where mine that turned out to be someone elses, there where too many of them so i changed it. But you dont have to.

You see the build indicator in the recent playetest screenshots (blue ring on the floor, with red, yellow and green segments).
My idea was one of those animating, going though the build proccess, slowly increasing the opacity of the initials NS in the middle of the circle.
Ok, so Relic or someone would probably be able to make a cool blue text to go in there... but this is the best I could do.
