    I would just like to say that there is ZERO chance of me posting a beta for anyone in the community to test. The only people who will be getting a copy will be my friends at uni (where i am beta testing with 20+ players over a secure firewalled network) and the ns dev team.

    Enjoy the new pics btw) some pics are out of date and the new ones show the alterations.

    Hopefully you can see the change toward a unique theme and 'look' to the map

    I'm with KFS on this one, I'm not board flaming but it is rather silly to post without the pics, also If I were you I would have psoted them on the other topic. Then people can quickly view the diferences between old and new pics

    Great job .
    I really like most of the ceiling and walls.
    The floor stands out a bit to much[i think] compared to the walls.
    Also that blue looks a little to bold or something.

    well the inspiration for the red floors was that scene in star wars (dotn laugh) where luke gets cryogenically frozen after losing a battle vs darf vader....dark red foors with cool lighting, smoke etc.

    Erm does anyone want to hear the sound effects or atleast some draft effects?

    star wars was in actual fact not red grating at all, it was normal grey/white grating with red lights. i dont know if uve played jk2 either, but they used grey

    not a lot of compiles and not a lot of light tweaking done yet but considering i started this map 2 weeks ago I think with another week and a dev team of 5 I can complete this atleast to playable standard.

    There wont be any problems with the leaks because I use a special technique to spot them. I texture all the textures outside the map with the grey 'null' texture then I simply fly about and its veryeasy to spot cracks with jsut matt colour...havent found many though cos the vertexing is very accurate.

    By the time I submit I will have teh ambient lighting completed ie) a general level of light that means no completely dark areas and you will be able to see everything + a limited amount of untweaked spotlights + the texture lighting done

    Making the map playtestable is my no1 priority.

    Seriously, pics look still good, but I can't make anything out of Hammer pics. I'd have to see ingame shots with real layout pics, not just hammer wireframe. Anyway, you've caught my interest.

    You got a very small layout in terms of 'simplicity' goes it is very small and straight forward, what you need to do is add LOTS of detail, otherwise it looks like a first mappers hldm map

    You know, you *can* attach images directly to message posts.

    Also, I'd suggest resizing to 800x600 and ~50-80kb per image... means people with smaller windows don't have to scroll sideways, and people with 56k don't have a heart attack trying to load them.

    I've decided to scrap my command post, double rp and a few other rooms that are jsut plain not up to standard with the rest of the map. Sometimes youve got to start things again..
