    well there is cloaking, and itsvery good in its current state, very hard to see, however, you have to not be moving in order for it to take effect.

    ahem, if you have to be standing still when you cloak how could a motion detector detect you? hehe, read your posts before you hit the post button <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Don't worry about it.  We tend to be relatively n00b-friendly here, it's just we'd appreciate if you read up a little in places you asked some questions.  It's not that we mind answering your question, it's just that some of these questions have been asked lots of times before, and I'm sure you won't be the last to ask them.

    Anyway, welcome to the boards <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    And now back to cloaking....

    I've only seen 1 shot of a cloaked alien (i assume thats what it was), in which it looked something like the holographic assistant from HL's hazard course. I'm just wondering if this is the same technique the team is using to cloak, or are they devising some new method? (i sure hope no one finds a way to exploit the cloak code... mmm invisible tinys.... heheh)

    It's a similar thing. The holographic guide in the Hazard Course uses a slightly different render mode setting (Holographic or somesuch... so it 'flickers' and parts that overlap are brighter than parts that don't) but there are other transparent-like rendermodes available, and the cloaking uses one of those. The graphics engine can't be futzed with in any way.
