Hey guys I'm sure this is likely to get flamed but I was wondering if anyone has heard an eta on 1.1 coming out? I'm thinking of making the move from running CAL-IM CS team to a Natural Selection Team. I'm not wanting an exact day but are we looking at 1 month or the summer, what? If anyone has heard anything I'd appreciate it.

NSRadio: The next one has to do with 1.1. What is the status on the 1.1 patch and what is the estimated time of release?
Flayra: I don’t want to even guess a time, but lets see, status I don’t know (laughs), I have been working on it, I started working on it before I released 1.04 so it might be out a little bit sooner that most people think. It is going pretty well I just merged to the Hal-Life 2.3 SDK, which was actually a fair amount of work. But one of the things that comes with that is the new spectator stuff so, you know, everybody else wants First-Person spectating, so if you die you can go watch your friends, you have the whole Half-Life GUI with the little overhead map in the upper left and all those extra camera modes and stuff. HLTV is working as of yesterday, still waiting for overviews from the official mappers but that will defiantly be in 1.1, I am pretty excited about that. And, (pauses) I don’t know if I have my to-do list here or not, but things in general seem to be going well.

Posted on the main page. I believe what this is saying is that v1.1 is pretty much finished. Now they are testing the game for bugs and balance issues.
Passworded, of course

Shortly after I saw this and made my post, the server has gone back to being listed as 1.04.. and Flayra is on it. o.o

You forgot gameplay tweaks!
- We haven't started playtesting it yet
- It will be out a lot sooner then three months
That is all.

Heh thanks for the replies guys but unfortunately I have no more of a clue than I did before the post I'm going to go ahead and theorize we are looking at another 3 months minimum.

For those of you who don't bother to look at dates: mid feb + 3 months = mid may conservative date for 1.1
most of the ns clans and official channels are on gamesnet - two of the best channels to idle in are
#naturalselection <-- the official ns channel and
#findnsscrim <-- the best channel to get a scrim for a clan, or just get players together for a pug. it also helps to idle in some of the biggest clan channels like
#syn and
#pandas since they usually have some 100 idlers

Careful when idling in #naturalselection if you have an opinion with some factual basis, you are wrong and get time banned for a year.
feel free to idle in #syn where you can say whatever you want whenever you want.
pickup games can consist of non clanners, former clanners, and clanners all on the same team. Basically, a pickup is an organized pub, which in most cases, are a lot more fun than a pub.
