umm how much damage takes armor?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> or is that How much damage can armor take?
All i know is check out this site: <a href='http://www.geocities.com/kitsune/ns-stats.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.geocities.com/kitsune/ns-stats.htm</a>
whenever you take damage the damage of the attack is devided by your armour pecentage, This damage is halfed and goes off your armour. the rest of the damage goes onto your health
so
damage to armour = TOTAL DAMAGE / 100 *ARMOUR ABSORBATION / 2
damage to armour = TOTAL DAMAGE - REST OF DAMAGE AFTER THE ARMOUR TAKES AWAY DAMAGE
So in <a href='http://www.geocities.com/kitsune/104estats.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.geocities.com/kitsune/104estats.htm</a> those stats aren´t correct?

The formula is wrong. According to your formula a level 3 carapace would die in 13 bullets.
Skulk has 70h/30a at full and 60% absorbtion. After 10 bullets (which is 100 damage unupgraded lmg) your armor takes [(100/100)*60]/2 =30. Your health takes 40 damage since the armor absorbed 60, so now your skulk is at 30h/0a. At this point 3 more bullets (30 damage) would kill you, and 10+3=13.
This is in conflict with Kitsune's tables, which claims it takes 16 bullets to kill a level 3 cara skulk. In fact Kitsune's table says that a level 3 cara skulk will only take 2.37 armor damage with each bullet. Can someone resolve this conflict for me?

Technically, he just said armour. The stuff which protects Kharaa is also called armour. Nyah <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

NS armor works like HL armor.
Take a 20-damage hit, like a pistol shot. First, armor absorption.
Base absorption for both teams is 30%, so 70% of the damage affects health - of 20 damage, a base player would take 14 damage.
The 30% damage that armor prevents is then divided by 2, and subtracted from the armor. So after a single pistol bullet, a base skulk would go from 70/10 to 56/7.
Carapace and Marine armor upgrades add 10% absorption per level - level three armor/carapace is 60% absorptive. They also add X amount to armor - 20 per level for marines, while added armor is class-dependent for aliens.
Heavy Armor is 95% absorptive at any level, but does gain armor points with upgrades.
No Muffin, you were wrong (though to be fair, your way does make some sense, and would work well in another game where maintaining armor was more important).
At the start of the game, ArmorAbsorbtion = 0.30 With one upgrade ArmorAbsorbtion = 0.40 With two upgrades ArmorAbsorbtion = 0.50 With three upgrades ArmorAbsortion = 0.60 With Heavy Armor = 0.95
Your actual amount of armor has nothing to do with how well it absorbs damage. So, even if you just have 1 point of armor left, you're still getting the ArmorAbsorbtion value that your team has bought.
Why is it then that the armor upgrade on the marine side only says it adds so many points TO the armor value and nothing about a percentage increase in armor absorbsion? When I click to upgrade the armor it only says it adds to it, not that it increases it's effectivness?

Here are 1.04 stats but I want to know the formula behind those numbers.
so
damage to armour = TOTAL DAMAGE / 100 *ARMOUR ABSORBATION / 2
damage to armour = TOTAL DAMAGE - REST OF DAMAGE AFTER THE ARMOUR TAKES AWAY DAMAGE
so if you get bitten by a skulk when your wearing ha(95% absorbation)
so 75/100 X 95 = 71.25 damage
71.25 / 2 = 35.625 damage to armour
75 - 71.25 = 3.75 damage to health
Thas was my thought too.
So in <a href='http://www.geocities.com/kitsune/104estats.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.geocities.com/kitsune/104estats.htm</a> those stats aren´t correct?
