<div class="IPBDescription">because of its most fatal flaw...</div> Too bloody addicting. I played about 22h from Friday-Sunday. I thought I had self control but jeese, once you start getting better at the game, it's hard to put it down! Someone else must have this 'problem'?

Every game can be addicting, but that's not really a reason to stop playing it just like that. Just learn to control youself. I've had that problem with a few mmorpgs before, those can be addictive ....

Yeah its addictive, I know people that just cant stop and become irritating cuz of that... You should get a alarm clock and set a time limit for you to play. Strange... I don't find it addicting at all… it’s fun if every once in a while you want to get together with a team and run around fragging some aliens and enjoying some teamwork… but I find the gameplay horribly repetitive and I know the maps way too well. Furthermore, the fact that you absolutely NEED an expert player on the marine team (AKA Commander) to make the game actually fun and last for a while makes it an incredibly shallow game.

This had been becoming a factor as well. As a marine my commander was usual poor and you could see a loss a mile away. As a commander I just tried to get 2 hives and if I did, it was a massive lockdown of those hives and kicking back until I had the resources to make a final push. As an alien, it was run around imcompetently trying to bite things until we got our 2nd hive.

Ya there are little things that happen to make things unique but I'm hoping 1.1 makes some drastic changes.

Maybe we can setup a support group for NS Junkies. We help each other by Crashing each others computers after a set amount of hours (Also adds a malicous hinge to it, which some may find disturbingly enjoyable (I know I would ^_^ ) But yeah, maybe we ICQ each other to stop us playing, Or MSN message each other every hour that we play to remind them that there is an outside world, why not go see it (Secretly trying to get him off that particular server so I can play, MUGAHAHAHAHAaA!!!!)

Or not. I think my morality chip is on the fritz, I cant stop thinking nasty things to do. Probably because im just home from work, and I detest EVERYONE who goes there (Except the staff that is) Uggggh, to tired to play NS not tired enough to sleep. JOY JOY JOY!!!

Meh.. there *are* time-tracking programs, as well as restrictors that'll kill a process after a set amount of time, set specific time, or averaged time. Should nab one and set it to track HL, bump the timer for three hours, and as soon as HL closes (possibly very frustratingly in the middle of a good game) it pops up a reminder to tell you that your time is up for the day. Can even have someone else put in an override password, if you really need a fix, can ask them to unlock HL for you.

Once you get further down the quit-chain, can set it up to allow you to only play HL for 20 hours a week, so you'll be able to ration yourself. Soon as you get to a level you like, take it off, or leave it on so you don't accidentally start backsliding.

It actually is addicting to the former CS players. See they have the "just one more round" thing stuck in their brain, but each round isn't 2sec - 4 min, it's about 40 min each.

The 2 sec was refering to the admin that would slay all if he got killed.

I love this game its the best thing I've played in yrs!
Trouble is it's TOO GOOD! I couldnt get a decent nights sleep and I was really wasting my life playing it! <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>

I would often uninstall it and say ..." maybe I'll put it back on a rainy day!" but I couldn't resist and I'd always put it back on <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>

So I said ENUF IS ENUF! and I gave a disk that I burned wif NS on it too my flatemate who hid it for me!!

It's a bit extreme I know but hey it worked <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> I feel I have a bit of my life back!

So seeing that I still like and admire NS I still visit the Forums to see how it's all going!
