ns v3.0 will be god-like.
anyhow a suggestion for some future version: can u make marines in a similar hotgroup able to recognize each other? like maybe a red icon over group 1 and a blue icon over group 2 etc..

But sooooooo <b>what</b>?!
Agreed.. now we have hotgroups coming up! Yay! Now all we need: Efficient ways to manage hotgroups (shift-click to select/deselect individual units) Name/health toggle (turn it on if you're trying to find someone, off if things get a little cluttered/laggy) Commander-set ranking system (Sergeant, Veteran, <no rank>, Llama) that auto-mutes everything from llamas and places a higher priority on Sergeants' (hotgroup leaders) and Veterans' (good players) requests, jumping to them first so a Comm can keep his best players alive, and ignore the llamas/rambos.
The hits keep on coming. I would also like to know if you can select marines manually (a la ctrl+click method), since the lasso can get a little tough when marines are far apart. I might not suck at commanding for once now.
what else would be nice would to have stuff like health and ammo stay selected after you drop it, so that if you are handing out health and u double click it will drop two health packs right away
And on the nth day God created Squads, Que's of requests and many other things so that his commanders might verily kick the **** out of the alien skum.
And commanders looked upon his work and said 'truly this is the work of God for it is teh ub0r'.
Wow... this honestly makes commanding so much less stressful. Could you still make it so that if a marines spams "Medpack!" it only registers it one time on the request que? That would really prevent alot of headaches.

Oh mighty one be mercifull in your graciousness and give us this feature... NOW. And I want a toaster aswell.
Tbh this would make a HUGE difference to me. Hot groups and this and NS's rts interface is almost upto the level of recent RTS's.. (not WC3 tho cos thats got the shoddy 3d ness which totally messes it up)
Nice stuff! It'll make commanding a lot easier and more efficient, that's for sure. Still, I'd like to hear one of these "big changes" you have planned for the lerk...
how about for each group of a marines it is possible for the commander to make one of the marines in a group of marines a "Field Commander"(FC) like groups 1: FC(field com):Jack marines: tim john bob
this would be cool so you could just tell the FC what you want done in the area and the could micro manage instead of you. Also maybe make it so each marine knew who his FC is(says under what group maybe). This might be a good alternative to everyone in your group lighting up red or blue or something. It also might resolve some dispustes marines in a group might get into on how to get to waypoint/defend it/ect if the commander named someone FC and leader in the group. This could save time if there is a FC in a group to lead them. FC says, "GOUP 1 get stop humping that armoury like its your girlfriend and get to the PG with me to defend the hive!" maybe only the FC can see where everyone in his squard is over the whole map. This way the FC knows who is following orders and who isnt then tell the commander."
PLEASE take this into consideration i would LOVE to have this feature. You could change it to how you see fit but I think anyway you do a field commander it would be a good idea!

Any chance of the groups being named 'Alpha group', 'Beta Group', etc or 'Red Squad', 'Blue Squad', 'Green Squad', etc?
'Group 1' just doesn't have the same ring to it. :>
Consider my face rocked, sir.

Once thing that will be neat is to be able to SHIFT/CTRL select marines like other people have suggested.
the excitement is too much for me!
/me faints
The map, by the way, is Greedo386's NS_Lost. It's currently being tested for possible inclusion in 1.1.
