Balancing Ns All Over Again?

I keep reading about 1.1 changes...
I experienced the progression NS made from version 1.01 -> 1.04 and was quite impressed by how quickly we learned the game and how quickly Flayra made adjustments based on playtesting. It's now quite obvious to me that sometimes the smallest tweaks to a game can change the gameplay dramatically.
I'm just wondering if the 1.1 changes are going to throw the game into a spin and force Flayra to re-tune the game for balance once again? So far the changes I've read about seem minor, and as always Flayra seems like he's being smart about things, but you just never know... just enhancing the comm controls could make life for the marines much easier... and on the other hand I thought completely silent skulks were previously deemed too dangerous? I'm not against the changes, in fact I agree with them all so far, and in the future gorges might not be banned for putting down Senory first! Well it's going to be interesting anyway, and a lot of fun as always, I just hope we don't loose too much ground, and that this game just keeps getting better.
what's your thoughts?

Examples:
-Old seiging of Engine Room from Marine Start (Bast)
-Door blocking of Shipping Tunnel (Caged), this one is so common, its actually assumed by the marines now.
I'm sure there are others, but thats all I got right now. As long as you testers always keep in the back of your mind "can we exploit this?" Things should test well Don't just try to play the game as "intended", play to break the "intended", thats how you test for balance, and test for things that WILL happen in real games.
Can't wait for 1.1.
...anyways, I'm curious Comprox what things were tested improperly the first time around? I remember thinking that the wheels were spinning a tiny bit, but maybe you can give the short version of what was learned in 1.0x?

Well, you can bet all 70 of your Onos res that Caged will be changed to remove that door block.
But, true...sometimes exploits CAN become standard, a great example of this is CONCUSS jumping in TFC (#1 reason I quit playing TFC too). I guess the Devs of that game like it, cause they refuse to remove it, but personally I've always hated it, since people flying the entire distance of the map in 5 seconds are a bit hard to kill...but ya know. Those aren't exactly the kind of exploits I'm talking about.
I'm talking about that when done, provide an obvious unbalanced advantage to one side or the other.
Heh, with all the beta's I've signed up for...I've never been in an actual game beta, which is a shame, cause I'd do a good job <nudge Flayra>
thats right, nothing - well, as far as the majority is concerned .. -_-
I'm sure alot has been learned, so they'll get it all good this time!

Of course they left it in... they even made it a *feature* of Tribes 2
joev.
As a long time triber I'm sure happy they left the ski bug in! biggest example ever of a bug actually being the game.

Actually i believe the biggest example ever of a bug being the game would be street fighter 2's combo system. The entire thing was a giant bug that they left in for a laugh, it went on to create a genre.
