So Will Ha Make Noise In 1.1?

<div class="IPBDescription">Bzzzt - chungng... Bzzzt - chungng...</div> I would be a FOOL to think HA making noise hasn't been thought of before, so I was wondering what the word on it was for 1.1?
I'm hoping it's something along these lines:
(Sound Level - Made by)
0 - (silent) Couching LA Marine
1 - Walking LA Marine
1 - Crouched HA Marine
2 - Running LA Marine
2 - Walking HA Marine
3 - JP Marine
3 - HA Marine
And if it made a sound effect like in the Topic Description, that'd kick <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->. Thanks for any info

i believe thats what neonfaktory was trying to emulate in the topic...
I think all the ideas were good, save the one about Steam powerd sounding. Lets at least have it be an /advanced/ robotic sort of sound. I mean we do have ammo packs created next to us with spotanius natine conversions, right?

I'd assume their revamping the sounds systems to fit the tech tree that they're changing, and too make the warnings from hivemind and the nanocomputer more useful...
current hmg sound doesn't sound like a gun to me, I hope we get a new sound in 1.1, but regardless, yea, don't use AvP sounds <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
I wouldnt want my LMG sound drowning out all of the ambient sounds like some people want.

I can remember ages ago (before release) one of the dev team saying the whine of the servo motors and the metalic 'CLUMP.... CLUMP...' sound of the Aliens powerlifter is pretty damn close to the effect they eventually want to put in the game...
The reason HA marines don't make noise is simple:
They move so slowly, HL regesters them as walking, not running, and therefore makes their footsteps VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY quiet.
The only solution would be to make thier suits go BEEP BEEP and DING DONG and other stuff like that.

Im pretty sure you could still add footsteps somehow! I mean flay managed to get a commander up there so footsteps isn't anything too hard imho

Well, this is pretty simple to get around. Footsteps make a noise when walking in vanilla HL, I think even when crouching. All you need to do is make 'em loud ones <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
