<div class="IPBDescription">U do the art, i do the webing</div> ok i suck in art but i love what you guys have made, really awesome stuff.
I don't know if this is the right place but what i am would like to do is help you guys, by putting ur nice art on a cool website for viewing and/or download purposes. Now at the moment it is our clan site, which i made, and it already has a download section, if this might grow i might make a dedicated website with NS art only <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
So if you want me to put your art up then pm me, tell me if there is something special you want on the layout etc...
I work fast and i would say it looks good so far, so i can always update it very quickly <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
the website is temp <a href='http://www.dssgr.net/~oss/' target='_blank'>http://www.dssgr.net/~oss/</a>
and will be www.osshq.net soon

but if you think the site sucks and that there are other places for NS art, you can tell me that too. It is my fist site And if people give me feedback i can always make a better one <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
is this a good idea, gathering all fan made NS Art on a Site, or not? What do you think?

<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Im not a fan of ALL FLASH pages (I dont like flash in general, its that damn 'smoothing'), mainly because one update will require a complete rebuild, and therefore ANOTHER minute download of your site. When a site is updated, I expect to see something new popup within seconds. I looked through the code of your site and see you've got around this somehow, still I had to load it again this time.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

there IS a way around this in flash, but is for the more advanced action scripters out there... i know that it can be done, but don't even know how to do it myself...other than it works on TxT files uploaded dynamically into the .swf every time that frame is loaded....

other than a large amount of not too great movie clips, it's a nice start.... you might want to try having your menu load, and have a movie inside of a movie (get the menu to load first, then the page your viewing...)

Concering load time: Well it also has some positive things about it. Things that really get at me, are when u browse on a site back and forth, click between the same pages, that they always get loaded which sucks. Here u can go back and forth once it has been downloaded and you can always view it offline very easy, as long as u don't delete ur temp internet files <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
So when there is art work up on the site, u only have to download it one time (ADSL <30sec) and can then review it anytime without new dl <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Yes it is true once u update something people have to Dowload it again, so that is why i have dived the site into 'sectors' which don't have to dl again if they don't change <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
the song from aliens is one of those sectors...

the reason for the menu makeing the music skip is because of following: if u go very fast over the menu with ur mouse u make the buttons play their 'roll-over' sound. If u make over 7 buttons play it within half a second it makes the music stop. Reason is cuz the flash movie has 7 different music tracks, so if u create more than 7 music tracks, like rolling over the buttons very fast, u make older one get interupted... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Plus i think it also has soemthing to do with ur cpu speed, i tried it with different machines and it almost never happens with a higher speed of 800MHz

Tbh in my view flash should stay in sites.. gives it more of a real feeling when scanning the site. i like ur site OneNeutrino nice layout and i love the little effect on the screens on the bottom left of the nav bar.. small and subtle.. nice!!

ok, the hideous load time is enugh to make me not like it (I am wroking off of a college campus so don't give me BS about get cable)

though yes it looks nice, it does not pleasnt to use, hell I can't even view it now b/c The machine I am on does not have Flash (and no I can't install it b/c it is a lab machine)

My view on Flash is this:
It can be nice when used in moderation.
Flash intros are ok if you have an HTML link to skip it.
If you wana make en entire webby in flas, make a second verion non flash.

Hostig files for the NS art/customization scene would be cool, however a good number of people will never look at the sight due to the design. My personal view on websight design is usability and then slick.

Meh, I just can't stand all flash pages

Well, took me approx. 10 seconds to load, and I'm on cable. The music skipped once, and I was there a while, and everything seemed nice. So <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I too am not a big fan of Flash sites.

I suggest making your site change the size of the window to fit your page, so that the 'sea of black' isn't seen.
I had some problems with the buttons. I needed only select two at once to make the sound skip. I don't remember other pages that use all Flash having this problem. Are the navigational button their own Flash image?
I didn't know there was music playing, mainly because it didn't specify that music was loading. I suggest making a "Loading" tween somewhere for the music, as well as offering a mute function.
